Jessica W and Kalie are great rivals. They met in the gym and a great TUFF video came from it (TUFF 10003), which was a hard fought 2 out of 3 battle. Then they matched up again at the Apr 17 Live Event, with one girl winning 1-0 in ten minutes (TUFF 10008). Tonight we caught them at the end of a 90 minute practice. They fought another 2 out of 3 fall battle, with their coach cheering them on. Their MMA skils have improved greatly, and they continue to be rising stars in TUFF. A great TUFF match up. Jessica W (green shorts) is 5’2, 140, while Kalie is 5’6, 145. Superb fight! Both amazing, two of the best in recent times…Question: Where is Lizzy akaFox?…The matches between Kalie and Fox were very good. I reckon Fox vs Jessica W would be even better. What are the chances of making this happen?
This can help if you find yourself fighting with a mixed martial artist, because although you can still beat a grappler with strikes, there are still some situations where you’re gonna have to just wrestle with them to win your match.
@jthongb4ker I totally agree with you that is why I love what TUFF has here. We are learning technique from three different coaches with quite a diverse back ground…wrestling, bjj, and judo…but best part natural instinct. It is a lot of fun. Thanks for the comments!
@nyrockboxer thank you for your comment! Kalie is a great opponent and I really learn a lot with her, because most of the time the girls in my weight class are taller than me.
this video proves that strictly using mma and bjj techniques dont always work.
5:10 – 5:16 headscissors! you never see that in bjj, and would they even allow it? 😉 headscissors seem much easier, quicker, and more effective than triangle chokes anyways.
Even though Kalie took this, I still just cant help but be impressed as hell with Jessica. Just something about the way she goes about her business. I think this is the first clip which Ive actually seen her taken.

I agree with u Lindsey that the ladies did a great job! And I ‘m excited about the progress that these two ladies are making, and have a coach who has been in the mma battles can only make these ladies better as fighters for TUFF.
