Coach Brandon Kiser covers some simple and basic ways to open the guard for new comers to MMA. In later segments he will cover two basic passes under the legs and two passes over the legs. Used in combination, these clips will provide a solid foundation for a rudimentary guard passing game. Coach Kiser is available for Self Defense, MMA, Submission Wrestling, Striking and Erik Paulson’s CSW seminars, workshops, group and private lessons. He is based in Bountiful Utah and teaches at Mushin Self Defense/Fight Core Athletics. In addition, he has taught many stand alone seminars, as well as technique integration seminars to traditional martial artists at The University of Utah Taekwon Do Club, Elite Tae Kwon Do, Xtreme Couture, the Lions Den and Utah Self Defense and Fitness.
If this wasn`t for points & if i was the redheaded young lady… i`d go for the Anaconda Vice / Bullcrank @ around 3:04, setup is ideal right there, since she is already in mount position. All she has to do is get the figure-4 on the other girls arm, go to side control and finish it.
points points points…how exciting -_-
earrings?
can opener is stupid it leaves you open to submissions
would the punches give them an opening to arm bar?
dat pr0n music
anyone seen eastbound and down the guy who starts in guard looks like stevie janowski
good one
this guy looks exactly like David Wilcox
No need to be offended (unless crass observations offend you). I didn’t write that as a legitimate criticism I just thought it was funny and I wanted to point it out.
On an unrelated note, I probably would never have realized that my comment had gotten so many thumbs up if you hadn’t replied to it. If you’re still sore about it, than by all means, knock it down a notch or two. You know where the thumbs down button is.
what a nit picky sorry choice of douchyness
i know this is more mma.. but u really gotta watch out when u reach with ur hand to the anke to open up.. i know u said they could lock ur arm with the foot but a good jiu jitsu guy will also push ur hand and shoot the triangle.. a better why is to press with your forearm..
“HEY GUYS.i made a new account and i decided to show people wat mma is all about. i am a boxer and a gracie juijitsu blue belt, im going to give people a chance to see me GROW INTO a mixed martial artist. ill be bloging and posting my training sessions and tournements, come subscribe and watch me grow as a person, watch me grow as a mixed martial artist with my team.
this is awesome, can you go into detail what you do after the arm trap at 1:32?
im sure it could turn into a sweep, but is there a possible chance of a submission from the arm trap?
Awesome video. Im kinda reluctant to do MMA though because boxing in general can harm your brain.

Plant the seed?
The video’s helpful; but I’m sorry, that’s just a poor choice of words.
Nevermind, I found it… it was Gene Simco explaining how to escape the Guillotine choke. Sorry for the mix up. But keep doing what you guys do!
Thanks guys, helps me a lot! There was another video I saw where the instructor also says to pull him close to you and make a fist and place it right under the middle of the spine and then stack them. Would that work? I couldn’t find the video but I hope I described it right.
