There is another footwork that floyd adopt, notice it when he fought diego coralles. where he fake side step to the left and deliberately move to the right to fk up the opponents angle.
the faster you punch the faster you feet need to move into position – good stuff Rick!
finally someone who teaches the right stuff. Footwork and Defense is key, you cant execute combinations in split seconds or defend in split seconds without the feet being positioned within a split second.
Good job coach with letting the camera be angle directing at the feet so we can see actaully what you are showing us.

This footwork is known as walking them down as well as cutting the ring off! Folks when doing this footwork you never lead with the opposite foot! Thats a golden rule! If u step to ur left u lead with the left foot .Same for the right side as well as the forward foot or back foot! Never cross ur feet unless u r shuffling backwards while circling.
